Diver 2 First-Look Video

I just put together a quick video of Diver 2.   The game is getting close to beta.  Just need to polish up the graphics a bit and tweak some of the levels then I will open it up to beta testers.

Here is the video:

Really interesting levels!
And that sliding on your feet looks very fun and kinda tricky. Can't wait to try it......... ;)

Yeah, the sliding levels were kind of a last minute experiment that turned out to be very fun. There should be 5 or 6 levels like that for Diver 2.

I'll probably make the sliding levels more of a center piece in the version after this one... they are that fun!

Sounds nice. Btw, have you made the scoring a bit easier, or it is my idea?
For example, the last two dives in the video that give over 9.5 with a not quite vertical diving.

I have not made the scoring any easier. I did make some small changes, though that may have affected the scoring.

I'll be re-tuning it soon to make it as close to what it had been as I can.

I really like the new slides that have been added, are they tricky to get on and off of correctly? And how roughly how long till u have a Public or Private beta?

The slides take a little practice, but once you get the hand of them they aren't too bad. They are easier then double-diving boards and even some single board levels.

I don't have a good estimate yet. At the moment I'm thinking end of January. I keep thinking of things that need to get done and the time keeps going up...

Come on! You guys are excited about the sliding. What about those awesome clovers? What other levels will there be with moving parts?

I haven't finalized the levels quite yet but there should be about 10 levels with spinners and 5 or so that involve sliding.

That is so really, really awesome. I played Diver as long as my fingers hurt, I can hardly wait till you release Diver 2. Will there be a fullscreen mode? The only thing I hated in Diver was that everytime my cursor left the window I miserably lost. How many ppl did you invite to the closed beta? ;-) Is there room for another beta tester?

Wow, very unusual and interesting game. I think this will be a popular game.
