Farseer Games is my place on the web to showcase the physics games I create. Here you will find a development blog that tracks game development progress, a forum to discuss the games, and of course the games themselves.
The name of my first game is 'Diver'. I'll save the details for future posts, but here is a sneak peak from a prototype I built:
The game will be written for Microsoft's Flash-like platform, Silverlight. This means it will be playable on the web on either a PC or Mac.
I plan to make Diver freely playable on this site all the way through its development. I'll start with the prototype and iterate through alphas, betas, and finally finished product. I hope to release a new 'iteration' every two weeks. Life dictates this is a part time effort so this two week release schedule may need to be adjusted. I will try to keep releases on a fixed schedule either way.
I'll use the forums on this site for ongoing feedback and for keeping links to past iterations of the game. My goal is to have a trail from prototype to finished product all playable on this site.
I'll also blog along the way about Diver, game development, and other things that I feel like mentioning.
I hope you are at least intrigued enough to check back now and then to see how things are going.
I'll post the first Diver prototype sometime early 2008 once Microsoft releases its Silverlight 2.0 beta. Till then screenshots will have to due.
